Noblesville, IN (November 7, 2022): Manufacturing just got simpler. Rain Corporation, the North American leader in digital transformation consulting, integration and support services, has appointed Christopher Carlins as its Chief Technology Officer. Carlins brings to the team broad software technology expertise with a background in manufacturing quality, genealogy, and performance systems—all of which will further Rain’s mission to help customers interact better with technology.
In his prior role at Rain Engineering, Carlins oversaw the technical project execution team and talent development for its Proficy® MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) practice, where he helped quadruple growth and create the world’s best Proficy execution team in just three years. Prior to that, he served as the senior applications engineer for a GE Digital channel partner, leading Proficy system deployments for multiple billion-dollar manufacturers.
As CTO, Carlins will be responsible for the technical innovation and inspiration of Rain’s engineering team and will continue to deliver the world-class service offerings Rain is renowned for.
CEO Don Rahrig commented, “Chris contributes in such big ways to the success of Rain. I am thrilled to add him to the executive team. His mindset of abundance and desire to elevate those around him exemplifies the key characteristics required for our team as we build better manufacturing systems and teach people how to benefit from using them, because people deserve to do better.”
Carlins said this, “Throughout my career, I’ve had so many wonderful opportunities to learn about technology and how it can amplify the capabilities of people and redefine processes. At Rain, we are encouraged to think beyond traditional integration company models. We find ways to raise one another up and move on to positions that are both more challenging and more rewarding. We see our clients as a part of our team and work to build them up, as well. Afterall, technology has no value without a path for people to learn how to use it. I’m honored to be a part of the amazing team at Rain and the values it upholds.”
Rain Corporation, who recently launched a series of new professional services-oriented products to better consult, integrate and support manufacturers using Proficy Software, continues to invest in strengthening the executive team, and more appointments are planned in 2023.
